My hours vary depending on the day.

How long is a typical session?

Sessions are 50 minutes or so.

How do I pay?

I accept Venmo through my business account – Positive Push Therapy.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I partner with Headway to manage insurance and payment information.

Can you help me file my insurance?

If you use private pay, I will provide a superbill for every four sessions.

How do I make an appointment?

Reaching out to me directly is the easiest way to make an appointment and to get in as quickly as possible.

Can I cancel an appointment? Do you have a cancellation policy?

You must cancel your appointment more than 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the entire session amount. If you use insurance, the late fee is $125 through Headway.

What is a free initial phone consultation?

I’m happy to spend up to 15 minutes on the phone or a Zoom with you to assess your comfort level and answer any questions you may have about therapy.

What age range do you work with?

I typically work with teens through adults.

Are you LGBTQIA friendly?

Absolutely.

Do you offer video or phone sessions?

I offer telehealth sessions through HIPAA-compliant Zoom.

Is our work confidential?

Yes! Everything stays between us unless I am worried about your safety – meaning intent to harm yourself or others, or you are reporting abuse.

How long have you been in practice?

I’ve been doing therapy in a variety of settings since 2010 and in private practice since 2020.

What is the best way to get in touch with you?

Typically, email gets the quickest response.

Do you prescribe medications?

No, I’m not licensed to prescribe medications as a licensed social worker. If you want a medication evaluation, I’m happy to refer you to someone who can help.

Are you licensed?

Yes, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas.

Do you take notes?

I often take notes during the first and second sessions with a new client, so I have notes to refer to. This helps me learn and remember specifics about a client. After that, typically not, as I want to be as present as possible.
